For larger shopping cart projects I use a hosted software as a service platform called Magento GO.
Magento GO is highly customizable, robust & easy to use and generates seach engine friendly permalinks. Their in house support is also very good with live chat available 24 hours a day.
If you only need to sell 1 to 10 products then there's no real need to invest in a sophisticated shopping cart. A simple 'Buy Now' button setup via PayPal will do what's necessary & you can let PayPal handle the transaction process, including payment via Credit Card.
